1:35 German self-propelled gun "StuG IV" (SD.KFZ. 167)
The German self-propelled artillery unit (ACS) of the Second World War Sturmgeschütz IV (or StuG IV for short) was developed on the basis of the most massive Wehrmacht tank Pz.Kpfw. IV. "Sturmgeschutz" is translated from German as "assault gun" - it was in this capacity that the StuG IV was used. Moving in the combat formations of the advancing infantry, these vehicles from their 75-mm guns fired direct fire at the enemy fortifications and firing points. They were also used for firing at tanks from ambushes. The Sturmgeschutz were much cheaper than tanks with a rotating turret and half a meter lower than them, which reduced the chances of hitting such a self-propelled gun with return fire. From December 1943 to April 1945, 1141 StuG IVs were built by three German factories.
